What To Expect At Neighborhood Hearing Aid Centers

1. Testing

During a hearing test, you’ll be seated in a quiet room and asked to listen to a series of sounds and tones. The audiologist will adjust the volume to determine your hearing threshold. The test may involve using headphones or speakers. You may also be asked to repeat words or phrases. The entire process usually takes about 30 minutes.

2. Results Consultation

After the testing is complete, we will review and discuss your results and how it may affect your quality of life. If you are a candidate for hearing aids, we will review your lifestyle, and budget and give you various options. If you are not ready just yet, we are here for you when you are! We ask you to return in one year to monitor your hearing.

3. Hearing Aid Discussion

A hearing aid discussion typically involves reviewing your hearing test results, discussing your lifestyle and preferences, and exploring various hearing aid options. The audiologist will explain the different types of hearing aids, their features, and how they can benefit you. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and try on different hearing aids to find the best fit.

“The most amazing people work at this office. My husband had to get a specialized hearing test for a job requirement. We could not find anywhere else that did this kind of test. They took him in right away and were able to help him. They were beyond kind and went out of their way to help us get what we needed. I cannot say enough about them. They are kindness personified.”
